Jim Fay, CLU, ChFC, is an accomplished financial services executive with over three decades of experience in the industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from St. John’s University, graduating in May 1988, and has since cultivated a highly regarded career defined by consistent achievement and growth.
Career Journey: Jim began his career in 1988 as a Financial Advisor with Shore Road, and office of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. His early talent and dedication quickly became evident as he achieved Leaders Conference recognition for four consecutive years, signaling his expertise and commitment to client success. This early success led to a promotion to Sales Manager in 1993, where he qualified for eight Management Conferences, further establishing his leadership credentials. In 2000, Jim advanced to the role of Co-Managing Director of Shore Road, and office of Metropolitan Life agency, overseeing over 120 financial professionals. His leadership within the company was instrumental in steering the team toward significant achievements.
Professional Development and Certifications: As a dedicated student of the financial services field, Jim earned both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. He also holds multiple FINRA securities registrations, including Series 6, 63, 7, 9, 10, and 23, which have equipped him with the regulatory knowledge and expertise to help serve clients and lead teams effectively.
MassMutual Metro New York: In August 2010, Jim transitioned to MassMutual Metro New York, taking on the role of District Manager in Brooklyn, NY. Demonstrating exceptional team-building skills, he successfully expanded his unit from the ground up to include over 35 full-time agents in just three years. His outstanding performance during this period earned him Management Council qualifications each year. On January 1, 2014, Jim was promoted to General Agent of MassMutual Metro New York, partnering with current General Agent Stephen Grossman. Together, they have led the agency to new heights, guiding it through growth and significant recognition within the industry.

His notable achievements include Gold Bowl: 2016, 2021 Silver Bowl: 2020, 2022 Crystal Achievement: 2016, 2021. These awards underscore Jim’s commitment to excellence and his influential role in the financial services industry.
Personal Life: Residing in Staten Island, NY, Jim is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Marie, are parents to three children—Victoria, James, and Lauren—and grandparents to three granddaughters, Peyton, Madalena and Aria. Their family also includes three beloved dogs, Pebbles, BammBamm, and Ginger. Jim Fay’s career stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication, strategic vision, and passion for helping clients and colleagues achieve their financial goals.
